It’s an exceptional opportunity and honor to have a selection of my “Dance of Flames” images included in “Fire & Water” at the Weston Gallery in Carmel. Established in 1975, the Weston Gallery is one of the oldest photographic galleries in the world, a leader in the field of fine vintage, modernist, and contemporary photography. They specialize in works by masters like Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Imogen Cunningham, and many others.
The Fire & Water Exhibition continues through March 11, 2018.

Pleased to share that my image “Transcendance: Reach” was selected for the Online Gallery in this year’s International Juried Exhibition at the Center for Photographic Art, Carmel, CA. (On view now through December 23rd.)

The Weston Collective Online Photography Competition awarded my image “The Grip” an honorable mention. The juried exhibition was a fundraiser for this wonderful organization that supports and nurtures young student photographers working with black and white film. I was happy to contribute and I’m honored to have my work recognized. View the results at:

“The Color of Light”
March 8 through April 8 at PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT
Arthur Meyerson’s Juror Statement:
In the call for entries for The Color of Light exhibit, I stated that the three themes that interest me the most in photography are light, color and moments. Any one of those elements can yield a strong photograph. Any combination of two of them might produce something special and a mixture of all three can lead to something extraordinary. In selecting the photographs for this exhibit, I was looking for those elements along with some original seeing as well as craftsmanship. Not manipulated photographs that were about effects, but photographs that were effective. Those that make us stop and look. Those that keep us coming back for more. Those that stay with us.
