What a treat to be featured in a trio of local publications! A spread of my photos can be found in the July issues of Carmel Living, Cypress Coast Living, and Monterey Living, which also includes a longer profile article and cover photo. These publications strive to create a sense of community among the residents living in the Monterey Bay area.

Candela Gallery is unique in the support provided to photographers through its annual “Unbound!” exhibition. In addition to displaying the work, the gallery hosts a fundraising event where proceeds are used to acquire exhibition pieces for its permanent collection. The gallery actively pursues opportunities to donate work from this collection to notable museums and art institutions. My sincere thanks to gallery director Gordon Stettinius for selecting my image “Caving In” for the eleventh “Unbound!” Exhibition.

“Center Forward 2022,” Ft. Collins, CO

With great appreciation I am thrilled to share that my image “Corrugated Redwood” has been selected for “Center Forward 2022” at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO.  Special thanks to jurors Alyssa Ortega Coppelman with Harper’s Magazine and Christy Havranek at HuffPost as well as to C4FAP Executive Director, Hamidah Glasgow. Center for Photographic Art MJE Exhibit

It’s such an honor to have my work included in the 2022 Members’ Juried Exhibition, opening April 9th at the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel. Juror Christa Dix, Executive Director at the Griffin Museum of Photography, chose “Caving In” from my Folding and Mending Series to hang in the gallery. If you’re in the area, stop by to see the engaging variety of work by artists from throughout the country and abroad. The exhibit runs through May 8th and all selected images will also be viewable online at this link starting April 9th.

Black Box Gallery, Portland OR

Black Box Gallery in Portland Oregon is hosting an exhibition titled “Dynamic: Shadow and Light” during the month of March. Huge thanks to Gallery Director and Curator, Todd Johnson for including my print “In Dappled Light #3” among the 24 remarkable pieces on display in the gallery. An additional 30 dynamic images are included in an online annex gallery. The exhibit runs through March 20th and can be viewed at this link.

2021 Rfotofolio Selections

It’s truly an honor to have my “Folding and Mending” portfolio chosen for the 2021 Rfotofolio Selections. Many thanks to jurors Diana Bloomfield, Ann Jastrab, and Connie and Jerry Rosenthal. Rfotofolio is an educational and inspirational community for photographers and collectors that promotes the craft and exposure of photography through websites, exhibitions, and publications. 2021 Black & White Spider Awards

It’s always encouraging to have your creative efforts recognized among the work of your peers! In this case, I’m honored that my image “Echo Shift” was nominated in the Fine Art Category for the 2021 Black & White Spider Awards.




December Exhibit at CPA

I could not be more excited about the opportunity to debut my new work at the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel. Several pieces from the “Folding and Mending” portfolio will be displayed on the volunteer wall through the month of December. Huge thanks to CPA Executive Director, Ann Jastrab for this invitation to exhibit.
