Reflections 2018
Welcome to "Reflections 2018," my online photo journal for sharing thoughts, "sketches," and works in progress. These images may be new ideas I am exploring, creative inspirations from books, movies, museums, music... or they may simply be captures of an extraordinary moment that caught my eye in the course of the day. All part of my creative process, as it is for most artists and photographers. I invite you to share your thoughts about these posts via my Contact Form.

Volume 8: Expressive Photography Workshop
November 2018
"LOOK...in front of you, behind you, above, below, near, far. Wander off the path in all directions. Take the time to really see what's there. "
- Alan Ross-
Last month, I had the wonderful opportunity to take part in a workshop facilitated by two Master Photographers, Alan Ross and Ted Orland. Titled "Expressive Photography," it combined studio sessions and field excursions at Point Lobos, Garrapata Beach, and Garland Ranch. Most of my images will be included in a new portfolio currently in the works. I will be posting them in a new gallery here on my website, but sharing this preview sampling now.
"Theoretical rocks are the province of science; particular rocks are the province of art... Art deals in any one particular rock, with its welcome vagaries, its peculiarities of shape, its unevenness, its noise."
- Ted Orland, from the book "Art & Fear"
Thank you...
