Reflections 2018

Welcome to "Reflections 2018," my online photo journal for sharing thoughts, "sketches," and works in progress. These images may be new ideas I am exploring, creative inspirations from books, movies, museums, music... or they may simply be captures of an extraordinary moment that caught my eye in the course of the day. All part of my creative process, as it is for most artists and photographers. I invite you to share your thoughts about these posts via my Contact Form.

Volume 7:  Outside Out

September 2018

New in the Mixed Vantage Gallery:  The “Outside Out” series is a study in spatial perception with multiple vantage points captured in a single photograph. These window images, from the Pioneer History Center in Yosemite National Park, are not composites or double exposures. Reflections on the exterior foreground glass overlay the details of the indoor space and interior window views.

"Paned Views"

Without the reference of the foreground window panes and frames, the overlapping images become more surreal, some bordering on abstract.

"Valance #1"

"Framed"
