Succulents
There is a timeless quality to succulents due in part to their ability to survive drought and other harsh climates and conditions. My intent with these succulent studies is to accentuate that quality with a soft, vintage presentation. The combinations of shapes and textures are rendered with varying degrees of focus. This, along with the sepia color toning create a subtle visual effect as opposed to sharp definition. The yellowed borders contribute to the aged appearance of the images, reminiscent of timeworn polaroids.
