November 26, 2017 Full Circle, the Creative Cycle
"Making art now means working in the face of uncertainty; it means living with doubt and contradiction, doing something no one much cares whether you do and for which there may be neither audience nor reward."
- David Bayles & Ted Orland, "Art and Fear"
So when your efforts at self-expression do come full circle in some form of recognition or exhibit opportunity, there is a sense of completion or fulfillment of the creative cycle... the idea you brought into the world through your art touched another human being. I'm grateful this Fall for a number of "full circle" opportunities, which I'm also pleased to share with you.

2017 Online Photography Competition
Awarded Honorable Mention for my image, "The Grip".
The juried exhibition was a fundraiser for this wonderful organization that supports and nurtures young student photographers working with black and white film. I was happy to contribute and I'm honored to have my work recognized. View the results Online.
