RIVER'S EDGE

"River's Edge" is one of several "Speed of Light" portfolios exploring the relationship between matter, space, light, and time. Movement of the camera allows for the creation of a more impressionistic image - in the same way that Impressionist painters used strokes of paint in a sketchy way to capture the essence of their subject, rather than the details. Changing qualities of light often accentuate the effects of time passing. In "River's Edge", even rays of light shining through the bridge overhead give the impression they are dancing through time and space.
