FLORA
Plants often exude a luminous aura on their own, but together in a garden, they create a symphony of light and color. Formal gardens in particular create a sense of serenity in their design. The structural symmetry - with blocks of color and careful placement of fountains and statuary - is often balanced by a bit of whimsy. Some images offer a nod to the mythical Nature Spirits (also called elementals) who work with the forces of nature to protect and maintain life on Earth.
